Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Coated Nutter Butter Bites

This is an easy step-by-step guide to making this sweet, indulgent snack:

Step 1: Prep your workspace

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside for later. Next, pour all of your Nutter Butter Bites into a large mixing bowl and set that aside.

Step 2: Make the silky chocolate coating

Add chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter to a medium microwave-safe bowl. First heat the mixture in the microwave for 45 seconds, then give it a thorough stir. Continue melting the mixture in 20-second increments, stirring fully between each round, until everything is completely melted and smooth. Once done, stir in the vanilla extract to incorporate.

Step 3: Coat the Nutter Butter Bites

Pour the warm melted chocolate mixture evenly over the Nutter Butter Bites in your mixing bowl. Toss the bites gently and continuously until every single piece is fully coated in chocolate.

Step 4: Add the confectioner’s sugar coating

Grab a large resealable plastic bag for this step. Layering ingredients ensures even coverage, so add half of your confectioner’s sugar first, then half of the chocolate-coated Nutter Butter bites, followed by the remaining confectioner’s sugar, then the last of the coated bites. Seal the bag tightly, then shake it vigorously until every bite is evenly covered in powdered sugar.

Step 5: Cool and store

Pour the sugar-coated bites onto your prepped parchment-lined baking sheet, and spread them out into a single even layer to cool completely. If you prefer an extra sweet, powdery finish, dust on a little extra confectioner’s sugar to taste. You can enjoy these treats immediately, or store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
